Reddit user Honeydrizzlex66 asked: "What’s something incredibly small someone did that made them instantly more attractive to you?"

We've all heard of the phenomenon of a person being super attractive until they do something unintelligent or rude, and those good looks just seem to fade away.

But sometimes it can work in the opposite way. When a person does something unexpectedly kind, a person you never really noticed that way before, or who you at least didn't take that seriously before, will suddenly light up the room they walk into.

Redditor Honeydrizzlex66 asked:

"What's something incredibly small someone did that made them instantly more attractive to you?"

Saving Small Creatures

"Once I was sitting outside with a guy, and he saw this little beetle bug on its back waving its legs in the air. He grabbed a leaf and put it right side up."

- TRIGMILLION

"My fiancée did something super similar the first time I walked her home before we started dating. It had rained earlier in the day, but the sun was out, and it was warm, and she saw an earthworm struggling to cross the sidewalk. She just picked it up and put it on the grass where it looked like it was trying to go."

- loser_partner

"My partner always carries bugs outside if he finds them. There's a pic of him from his childhood on the fridge where he was showing his mom a cool bug he found. It's adorable."

- -Release-The-Bats-

"Underrated subtle green flag."

- RoseyDove123

Fuel For The Journey

"His place is 15 minutes from my place. He always, without fail, used to give me something to munch on, a fruit or a snack, for the drive back to my place."

- pizzaalldays

"That's so cute and unnecessary. What a cutie pie."

- Ronniebob

"These posts are reminding me of how fun it is to be especially kind to people."

- asleepypidgeon

Helping A Friend

"I don't know if it was really small, but... He put some real effort into giving good, thoughtful support and advice to a shared friend who had asked for it."

"In that moment, my view of him changed from 'He's nice, but it's good that he's busy a lot or else he'd be a little much,' to 'I can't get enough of his company, and I'll make him a priority.'"

- Random_silly_name

Kind Just To Be Kind

"Showing incidental integrity and respect towards a random person they don’t even know and will never see again."

- Deep-Recording-4593

"This. A year or so ago, we were with our friends and their kids at Dave and Buster's. We obviously played the games and had prize points/tickets for prizes. I was talking to our friends and didn’t notice what was happening, and my husband said, 'I’m gonna get this for this kid, okay?'"

"In line was a mom and son who didn't speak that much English. The Kid wanted a Pokémon or something but didn’t have enough prize points, so my husband just went ahead and swiped our card for it. I fell head over heels again in that moment."

"We’ve been together 21 years, and moments like this remind me I married a good man."

- CuriousVampireCat

Sharing The Love

"He brought one of his dog’s toys over as a gift for my dog. She had died the year before, and he had a little area for her stuff still in his apartment. She was his best friend."

"When I saw him pull it out, my heart sank. My dog still loves that toy and keeps it in his bed. I think about that gesture a lot and how much it meant to him and me."

- KangarooSlight8970

Just Good Manners

"Manners, a man with good manners. Not even big things, but like holding or opening the door, being polite to staff in stores or shops, being kind to servers, saying please and thank you, and just noticing things. It's an instance hit for me."

- Not-That_Girl

"To me, those things are basic human decency. They won't necessarily make a person MORE attractive to me, because they're behaviors they should be practicing anyway, but I'll tell you what:"

"Nothing will turn me off from dating a person faster than being mean to other people: rude to employees, not tipping servers, not saying hi back to the cute little kid who's waving like a maniac at you from the shopping cart seat (seriously, how hard is it?!), being all about themselves..."

"Everyone should be kind, but a person being unkind is an immediate deal breaker. There will not be another date or text."

- TheBookishAndTheBard

Gaslighting The Cat Love

"My husband will go out of his way to pick the cat up at any time, and he fully settles her so her little front legs hang down over his arm like a jaguar in a tree. She looks so cute and comfy, and he just pets and loves on her (all the while saying how much he hates cats)."

"They’re just so cute together, and I love seeing his genuine affection for him, even if every word out of his mouth is him lying and saying he hates cats."

- Penguinofmyspirit

When Kindness Is A No-Brainer

"My boyfriend and I were taking a flight for our first trip together very early on in our relationship. While going through airport security, I observed him helping out a frazzled lady struggling with an infant."

"His observation of her struggle, empathy for her situation, and the way he helped out like it was the most obvious thing to do really made him shine."

"He’s now the father of my toddler, and we have another one on the way."

- Nifty__Things

Solid Listening Skills

"He listened to hear me, not just to respond. I have never felt seen and heard like that before."

- Sickly_Victorian

"I'm surprised that 'listened' isn't mentioned more here. It's what I thought of, too. We just had a conversation, and he was seemingly interested in what I had to say or was at least entertained enough by me being happy that someone would let me babble (case in point)."

- ok_lari

A Considerate Gesture

"My boyfriend and I had only been together for a few months. I was invited to his brother's wedding and wore a long blue gown (I was overdressed and always felt embarrassed about it)."

"We had to take the stairs to get to the upstairs venue. The dress was long. I didn't struggle in it, but as we were walking up the stairs, he held the train of the dress as I walked up and down... I knew I got myself a good one, and we're still together eight years later."

- Mousey_Belle_1996

Knowing What's Really Important

"My ex took himself very seriously and couldn't bear to do something that might make him look silly."

"When I met my current partner, his daughter was five years old, and that man would do any old goofy thing to get a laugh out of her. Funny dances, weird faces, making up little nonsense songs, animal impressions, you name it."

"I clocked that willingness to put self-consciousness aside to make his little girl giggle, and it endeared him so much to me."

- happygoodbird

Showing Up

"We were walking home from the bar late, and a homeless guy came up to our group to ask for money. Nobody said anything for a second, just looked at him."

"Then one of my friends walked up to the man, introduced himself, and shook his hand. It was the single most admirable and attractive thing I’ve seen, recognizing the humanity in a man down on his luck and taking the time to introduce himself. I believe he gave him a few dollars after chatting for a few minutes."

"Another one is noticing how that guy would always show up. He was at every rehearsal, funeral, party, and helping someone move. If he said he would be there, he was there. You could see he really cared for his people, and the way he showed it was by showing up for them."

- AuthorMuch5807

Being There For Family

"We were about 18 and we'd been dating for around a year. I took him over to meet my great-nan, who was almost 90, very unwell, and basically only moved between her bed and her chair in the lounge room."

"After an hour or so, we all got to talking about our relationship and the idea of getting married one day wayyy in the future. My nan said that she probably wouldn't be able to be there or go anywhere because she's too old. He told her that that's okay, we'll have the wedding in her lounge room, so she doesn't even need to move from her chair."

"We've been together almost nine years now, and we're getting married next year. My nan passed away a few years ago, and I really wish she'd been able to see it."

"But geez, do I love this man."

- beazda

Showing Thoughtful Initiative

"When I first started dating my now husband, I got my period at his house for the first time, and he already had a pack of the correct size and brand tampons waiting under the sink for me."

"He never asked what kind I used, and we never discussed him getting me tampons. He just took note of the kind in my bathroom and bought some extras on his own."

"It was a small gesture that made a huge impact."

- pinkbolognaclub

Drunken Confessions

"I went to a wedding with my then-girlfriend. I was on call that weekend, so I did not drink, but she had a few too many. I helped her in the passenger seat, and I shut the door and got in the driver's seat."

"She said to me drunkenly, 'You know what? We’re going to get married. I knew you were the one since you first spoke to me. Okay?'"

"I said okay. Then we talked about my nice shoulders. This was like our sixth date."

"The next time I talked to her, I hinted around if she remembered the car ride home. She was immediately anxious. 'Did I mess up you being on-call? No? Okay, good. Did I complain about my job? Oh, I’m so sorry, it must have bored you...'"

"My shoulders and I did marry her about two years later."

- CarlJustCarl

"Very happy for the four of you!"

- KWD1086

There's no question that these kind acts would immediately make a person more attractive, particularly in their personality.

So many of these were about noticing the little things and doing things for other people that involved people someone else before yourself, and each of those gestures were small but made a huge difference.

Neil Young Rips Trump For Attacking Bruce Springsteen Instead Of Fixing 'The Mess You Made'

Music icon Neil Young criticized President Donald Trump for attacking rocker Bruce Springsteen, saying that Trump spends more time "thinking about what rockers are saying" than focusing on helping the American people.

During a recent concert in Manchester, England, Springsteen called out Trump, denouncing a “corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration.” The rock legend also condemned Trump's approach to dissent, saying U.S. authorities under Trump “are persecuting people for using their right to speech and voicing their dissent.”

Young Girl's Shady Question About Trump Goes Viral—And Leavitt's Answer Is So Telling

On Tuesday, the White House celebrated their annual Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day. Officially celebrated nationally on the third Thursday of April, participants are especially encouraged to bring children to workplaces where their gender, race, or ethnicity has historically been underrepresented.

The event has parents, guardians, and other family members introduce the children in their lives to all that their job entails to both spark the child's interest in the profession and give them a better understanding of what their family member does every day at work.

NFL Star Jalen Hurts Offers Blunt Response When Asked Why He Skipped White House Visit

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts offered a blunt response when a reporter asked him why he didn't attend his Super Bowl-winning team's White House visit to meet President Donald Trump.

Hurts was reserved when asked by Time magazine last month whether he planned to attend. He went viral after video showed he could only squirm and try not to look into the camera before walking away. The reporter who spoke to him at the time could only stand there, also pretty awkwardly, we assume, before muttering a quick "thank you."
